kerastase nectar thermique beautiful long hair
I never considered investing in expensive hair care until I learned what disaster means. When my hair got dry and coarse as a result of excessive dyeing, I knew changes had to be made. I don't agree with using only products from a specific range, instead I think that mixing different products can have its benefits. Again, I don't invest in expensive shampoos, conditioners or masks, but having a great product that acts like a leave in conditioner is a must.

As you may have noticed, I spoke a little about this product in a few different posts, but never did a full proper review. In fact, I don't think I speak about it as much as I should, considering how much it has done for my hair. This is actually a heat protectant and although I stopped using any source of heat on my hair for months now, I still use this after very wash as a leave in conditioner.

Right after I opened the tube for the first time, I noticed the classic and fresh smell of it. I love the way this smells but then it was exactly what I expected from a Kerastase product. The application is a dream, since the texture is not watery as I expected, instead it's creamy and thick but lightweight at the same time. It feels like nothing's been applied on the hair.  As far as results go, I didn't notice instant results though. My hair got shinier and silkier as the time passed by, that suggests this indeed has beneficial ingredients. It keeps my ends in good condition also and this is the reason why I didn't have any split ends for months now.

I apply it rigorously from near the roots to the ends after every wash. Not only my hair is shinier, but my natural curls were also revived and my hair is easier to manage. I can honestly say this product is a good investment and this is a bold statement for me. Due to the fact that this provides a great amount of moisture for dry hair, it's only understandable why my hair looks better and better. I am truly smitten by its effects and I can see myself in the foreseeable future using it.

Have a great day!

I'm not big on haircare related posts because the products I use always change, especially the shampoo and the conditioner. I do have, however, some products I love using and my haircare routine is based, mainly, on hydrating the hair.

Because my hair's been through a lot in the past few years, I've learned how to take care of it without spending a lot of money on an arsenal of expensive products that, probably, don't work on anyone. So for my shampoo I went for the Syoss Oleo Intense one which is kinda good for a drugstore shampoo, especially if we consider the price and the quantity.

When I bought the shampoo, I also got the Shine-Sealing Conditioner. I use to apply a generous amount of this on my hair, from the roots to the ends and leave it to do it's magic for a few minutes. I must say, I am not afraid to use this conditioner on my roots because it doesn't make my hair greasy and it's excellent at detangling.

For my after wash party, I always, always go, without exception, for my Kerastase Nectar Thermique Polishing Nourishing Milk. I love this stuff, it makes my hair shine like crazy, it protects it from heat and my hair it overall amazing when I use it. It's one of the products that it's worth the price, trust me.

I also recently bought this curling cream from Balea, but I've only used it 2-3 times so far so I don't know if I like it already or not. I did notice however that my hair got curlier these days, but still, I don't know if it's the product or the fact that I cut my hair shorter a week ago.

Between the washes I go for the Batiste Dry Shampoo, but for the past few weeks I barely used it (may be the shampoo?). I like the Original one more, but the Blush version is ok too. Once a week I use a coconut oil mask, mixed with a few drops of Vitamin A oil. I let that sit on my hair for a few hours or an entire night, depending on how much time I have for that.
This is my hair today. I'm so happy that I finally managed to bring back it's shine! It's been a journey to get here, but I won't stop trying out new products. I will definitely try new shampoos and conditioners, but I won't change my Kerastase Nectar Thermique Milk or my Batiste Dry Shampoo.

Have you used any of these products? Let me know what you think!

Hair is a girl's best friend. When it looks good, we feel good. When not, well, we have what it's called ''a bad hair day'' and that reflects on our entire day. Or so things happen to me.

I've been on a journey for the past few years and I've tried pretty much every hairstyle and color out there: red, black, chocolate brown. Only not blonde. So here I am, on a journey to become a blonde. I only had some highlights done about a month ago and man this is hard. I feel that I am running out of patience and whenever I see a blonde girl on the street I want it even more.

It's been like this for years and yet I never managed to become one, even after I got so close like in this post. But going from brunette to blonde is not quite a walk in the park. The road is long and it takes a lot of patience to do it. I know better. If you have some advices upon this subject, please be kind and share with me.

Moving on to my haircut, I've got some bangs done  last year in November I guess. And now I wanna get rid of them, but that's another story. Thing is, they make me feel younger but let's face it, I'm not really the kind of girl that styles her hair everyday. Especially her bangs. So not me.

My favourite hairstyle though is this one in the pictures above: loose curls. I love what my Remington curling wand does with my hair! Oh boy, I love it, especially since my hair does stay like that for an entire day.
You can also see what I'm wearing on my face here in this post.

I received this a few weeks ago with my Tresemme Hair Treatment and began using it as a co-wash product...yes, I wanted to give this technique another change and this seemed to be the perfect product for it. I initially did some research and found out that there are many people using this as a co-wash so I imagined that I will have the same good results as they had. Well, I didn't. I don't know if it's my hair, the product or the way I apply it, but the next day my hair looked like...well you can imagine. I didn't want to quit using it after only one shot, so I continued applying it using the CWC method (condition-wash-condition). So I apply this as I would normally condition my hair, then I wash it out with water, wash with shampoo and then condition again. This is the only method that has been able to moisturize my hair enough although I can't do it too often because then it will weight my hair down so I only use this method once a week. I know that this is normally just a conditioner, but I like to benefit from it in this way and since my curly hair is so 'depressed' lately, I had to try anything. Nonetheless this is a great product for moisturizing dry hair and for co-wash and it's also super cheap!

Have you tried it?

This is the only method that has been able to moisturize my hair enough although I can't do it too often because then it will weight my hair down so I only use this method once a week. I know that this is normally just a conditioner, but I like to benefit from it in this way and since my curly hair is so 'depressed' lately, I had to try anything. Nonetheless this is a great product for moisturizing dry hair and for co-wash and it's also super cheap!

Have you tried it?

You already know how much I love taking care of my hair, although my beloved has suffered more than words can say. Ever since I tried Tresemme's heat protectant spray, I wanted to try more of their products. I still do and this is just the beginning, because I have my eyes on a shampoo and a conditioner that I think I'll get soon. I began using this hair treatment a few weeks ago, waiting to see if it can beat my beloved Dove Nourishing Oil Care conditioner. Well at first I didn't like this product because it seemed that couldn't provide enough moisture and I also had the impression that it didn't perform that well at detangling my hair. But I kept using it and I like it! Yes, I do, although I still think that the formula could have been more moisturising. Or maybe it's just the winter that makes my hair drier these days, I don't know but I'll keep using it and come back with a final thought when I finish it. I think that this would be even more effective used altogether with their shampoo and conditioner from the same range and most importantly, on a hair that is not as damaged as mine. I like the packaging, the creamy formula, the fact that it makes my hair more shiny and detangled and also the incredible smell. I don't regret trying this and I look forward to trying it when I'll get rid of my damaged hair.

Alright, here's another post dedicated to hair products. I decided to call this a 'battle' because every time I take a bath I find myself wondering what product to use. Just some info about my hair: dry, damaged, breaks easily and just recently got it cut. Because it's dry and curly, I like using moisturizing products to tame my frizz and to add that moisture that, obviously, I have lost somewhere on the way. I used these three products alternatively with my Goldwell Dualsenses Rich shampoo and I noticed some differences. Are you ready?

1. Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Deep Conditioner

I heard raves about this product and I finally found it in Hungary. I used it for the first time that day when I bought it and expected some 'miracles'. I was really dissapointed to see that it didn't make my hair shiny, smooth or anything like that. It managed to detangle it very well, but did not add that moisture that I wanted.

2. Dove Nourishing Oil Care Conditioner

For the past few years I've had a terrible relationship with drugstore conditioners of any kind. They just did not deliver what I expected and this was the main reason why I chose using salon hair masks and conditioners. I decided however to give this a chance and I was surprised by how well this worked on my hair. Not only it detangles like crazy, but also provides moisture, makes the hair shiny and more manageable. It has a creamy texture, smells incredible and has some sort of oils blend in it. Needless to say it's super cheap and available in any drugstore.

3. Tigi S Factor Serious Conditioner

This is my first Tigi S product, so I had some high hopes regarding it's action upon my hair. It detangles very well, it's moisturizing and has a strawberry-mint flavour. It's a nice products for those with normal hair maybe, but not for me. Although this has good reviews on the internet, I was not blown away by it's effects. It just didn't deliver.

The conclusion
You can tell which one of these three conditioners wins the battle in my case. I love the Dove conditioner and most definitely will repurchase after I finish them all. Having curly and dry hair and using a straightener twice a week definitely requieres a more intensive moisturizing product and that is Dove in my case. I will also try the shampoo from the same range when I'll run out of Goldwell an hopefully it'll be as good as the conditioner! Fingers crossed.

During the past few years I was obsessed with my hair, since I discovered the hair dye and wanted to try pretty much every color out there. You can just imagine the pain I put my hair through when I decided I wanted it blonde instead of brunette and how things turned out from that moment on. My big obsession though was having a long hair which finally led me to buying some hair extensions just to make me feel better. But that was not how I wanted things to go. A few months ago I decided the best thing in years: to grow my hair out and never dye it again. Going back to my natural colour is kind of a challenge for me, because I hated it for years but I think that after all the colours I went through, my natural one is the one for me. As I was saying, I stopped dying my hair 4 months ago and at that moment seemed that my hair growth stopped too. My hair's length was reaching my waist and, to make the story scary, after taking that decision to never dye my hair again, I went to a hairdresser to cut my split ends and she just cut down my hair until it was past my shoulders. That was such a tragic moment! So I put together all the methods that have worked for me during my lifetime and began using them religiously. These methods have worked for me and gave me a few inches in only 4 months. Although I'm a huge pessimist and a very impatient girl, these methods do work.

From the inside
Hair growth can be promoted from the inside by using some vitamins and minerals. Not only they will help with your immunity and your overall health, but they can stimulate hair growth and make your hair healthier. I think the best option here are the multivitamin tablets which I've been using for some time. Another option would be Forcapil hair supplements which is said to help your hair grow faster, but I can't really tell how effective they are since I only used them for a month. Also, fish oil supplements will help your hair growth process by speeding up the growth in hair follicles. I've been using these for a few months now. Don't forget to eat the right proteins too, such as eggs, chicken, turkey, beans, nuts, soy products.

From the outside
Homemade hair masks. I can't praise enough these masks! I started using them on my journey to become a blonde and my hair become more manageable, shinnier, silkier. I love using olive oil hair masks on my hair, combined with other oils such as argan and castor oils. I apply them on my dry hair and leave them do their magic for about 2-3 hours before my normal wash. These oils will revive your hair like a cold shower in the morning and castor oil especially, will help your hair grow faster.
Head massage (scalp stimulation). This is the most relaxing part of the entire process, haha! You can do these massages yourself or do like I do, ask your boyfriend to do them for you! Anyway, these scalp massages increase the blood flow in the scalp which speeds up the growth process. You can do a full scalp massage with oils, for a few minutes a day, or you can masage your scalp while washing your hair in the shower.
Exercise and water. This is the perfect combination when it comes to hair growth. Exercise is the no 1 activity that boosts up this process by unclogging the hair follicles and increasing the blood flow. Moreover, this activity will benefit your entire body, not only your hair. Combine this with driking lots of water, not soda or anything, just water!
Relax more. By this I mean stress less. Stress is that enemy that causes hair loss and that will eventually slow down the hair growth process. I know this beause I've been there and I'm still suffering from hair loss, altough I not that stressed anymore. Clearly I couldn't force myself to be less stressed so I tried this method: doing what I like, when I like, in my own free time.

Have you tried any of these methods for hair growth? Are you like me, struggling with your hair to grow longer or your hair just grows quickly?

This week made me realise just how badly I need a few days off. While outside is getting hotter, I feel more and more tired. The good thing is that my vacation is close and I can't wait to just sit around and relax!
On monday it was mine and my mom's birthday and we had the most delicious cake in the universe! For our bithday, we like to bake a cake of our own, with pudding and cream! It's so delicious! And then, there was another sunset and I love taking pictures of them. On wednesday I received my first shirt from AliExpress which was such a pleasant surprise. I will talk about that in a separate post. And then yet another sunset! I literally ran out of the car and across the street to take this picture!
Since I loved my shirt so much, I just had to share how I felt wearing it. And then I had this huge surprise to receive my most wanted haircare products, as a late gift for my birthday! They are now part of my haircare routine and I like them so far. If you follow me on Instagram, you must already know how much I love my two Color Tattoo gel-cream eyeshadows so I posted my everyday makeup using them. On thursday I had a delicious icecream as a snack and forgot about the doctor's orders for a few moments. I am now kinda on a diet because I've been sick a few weeks ago and I'm still under treatment. Later that day, I searched like an insane person a pair of lace up sandals and finally found them on Zara on sale! That was kind of surprising!

This is how my week went and although I have some pretty bad days lately, I try to take the best of each day and think about the beautiful things in life.
How was your week?
